Bits & Pizzas is an independent, family owned Pizzeria that will open in Dexter, Michigan in Early 2013. It is not part of a chain or franchise...it's one of a kind. It has been our (Mindy and Rob D'Oria) dream to open this restaurant for more than a decade, time we have spent perfecting our recipes while Mindy pursued a culinary arts degree at Washtenaw Community College. Mindy is currently finishing up that work on a Merit Scholarship for Academic Excellence...because she rocks in the kitchen!
When it comes to our pizza, you won't find any contraptions or a "set it and forget it" (conveyor) oven when you look into our open kitchen and watch us make your pizza by hand. We take our pizza-making seriously, using only the finest ingredients, our hands, and a brick oven to produce authentic New York style pizza. We do it old school...it's harder and a lot more work, but the result is so vastly superior to modern pizza-making methods that it's a crime to do it any other way.
...and it's not our goal to have the best pizza in Dexter, we aspire to have the best pizza in Michigan!
